What are "Clean at Sephora" standards?

All products in the "Clean at Sephora" programme must meet the following criteria:
"Clean at Sephora" means all of our clean brands comply with the criteria outlined below, which is focused on transparency in formulation and sourcing. When you see "Clean on Sephora" seal, the brand has assured us that the product is formulated with minimum amounts of the ingredients listed.

The "Clean at Sephora" list is our most current version. We have added to this list over time as new information has been made available, and will continue to do so as needed. The list does not guarantee '100% free-from since trace contaminants are possible. It is not the intention of "Clean at Sephora" to test for trace contaminants or guarantee "100% free-from", but we encourage our brands to engage in thorough contaminant testing of raw materials and final formulas.
